Murder, or murderous intent


In several of Margaret Oliphant's novels characters commit murder, or have thoughts of murder. Two suspenseful instances are in Brownlows and The Heir Presumptive, in each of which a middle-aged, socially respected person goes beyond thought, and takes action.
